Dressmaking 2

This 4-weeks course covers the making of two types of skirt. You will start with a A-line skirt with zip at the back and front pocket. This project will be followed with a long pleated skirt (optional length). Both projects use woven, cotton types of fabric.

Skills learned:

• Learning about tailor-tacking and stay-stitching.
• Fitting front pocket and top-stitching.
• Inserting side pockets (project 2)
• Tracing and sewing darts.
• Tracing and sewing pleats.

Included: All equipment and tools will be provided as well as refreshments.

Skills level: Easy with some challenging techniques.

Excluded: You will have to provide the fabric, notions and matching thread for both projects. We can order the patterns on your behalf or you can purchase them online. All the details on the pattern and any other information will be sent to you upon confirmation of your booking.

Booking essential. Classes available between 5pm and 9pm only from Monday to Friday and all day on Saturdays.

A non refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking. We accept bank, card or cash payment and it must be settled in full or on the 1st day of the course.
