Beginner class – Level 1

In this two weeks course, you will be taught how to use the main features of a sewing machine and be able to make and complete two projects.

Cost: £30.00 Duration: 2 weeks

Week 1: Gaining confidence in operating the sewing machine and completing a zipped cushion cover.

Week 2: making a lined pencil case with zip, working from a given pattern.

Skills learned:

• threading the machine and winding the bobbin.
• Change needle and sewing foot
• sewing in straight line and finishing seams.
• fitting standard zips.

Included: Equipment, tools and notions, as well as the fabric, are included and you may keep any pattern you are given to practice and make new ones at home.

Booking essential. Classes available between 5pm and 9pm only from Monday to Friday and all day on Saturdays.

Full payment by bank, card or cash mus be paid before or on the first day of the course.
